Iborra rejected English move

Vicente Iborra rejected a move to an English club, thought to be Crystal Palace, in the January transfer window, his agent has revealed.

The 29-year-old is vice-captain of Los Rojiblancos and has made over 150 appearances for the club, 26 of which have come this year under new boss Jorge Sampaoli.

"He told me: ‘I am already in a champion team,’” his agent Mario Parri told Radio Esport Valencia.

"Iborra had an offer on the table from an English club but has chosen to stay in the Sevilla , because he is very happy there.”

Estadio Deportivo report the Premier League side that attempted to buy him were Crystal Palace, now coached by former England manager Sam Allardyce.
