Betis, Celta chase Khazri

La Liga duo Real Betis and Celta Vigo are hopeful of signing Sunderland attacking midfielder Wahbi Khazri on transfer deadline day.

The 25-year-old has only started four Premier League matches under David Moyes this campaign after signing for the North East club under Sam Allardyce in January 2016.

Betis sporting director Miguel Torrecilla has been a long-term admirer of the Tunisian international since his days at Celta Vigo when Khazri was at Bordeaux, with the Galicians still maintaining an interest especially with the impending exit of Fabian Orellana.

Estadio Deportivo say Los Verdiblancos will push the Premier League strugglers for a late deal, with the situation of the Chilean Orellana central to any prospects of Celta making a move.
