Vasiljevic demands ‘winning’ Osasuna

Petar Vasiljevic is demanding an Osasuna that “play to win every game” ahead of Sunday’s clash with relegation rivals Granada.

Osasuna remain unbeaten under sporting director-turned-Coach Vasiljevic, although both games have ended in draws, and the Serbian is hoping his side can start lifting themselves off the bottom of La Liga against Granada, who sit just a point and place above the Pamplonans.

“I want to see a team that fight in Granada, with commitment, one that show pride and compete,” he said at a Press conference.

“We can’t lose the account that we’ve given of ourselves [in our last two games].

“We must show that we’re a brave Osasuna, who play to win every game, and we’ll go with this mentality.

“We have three important matches this month, all of them are finals. Granada are a direct rival of ours, who have one more point than us in the table and are a little more comfortable as a result.

“Still, we’ve started a new route and we’re going for the three points.

“Granada will be difficult to play because they have very quick players who are always looking for chances [to score].

“They will make things uncomfortable and are in the same boat as us, but we must insist on the concept of not conceding, and from there we’ll look to grow.”
