Former Barcelona captain Xavi believes Lionel Messi will extend his contract at the club and remain at the Camp Nou for the remainder of his career.
His belief comes despite Marca reporting the Argentine was reluctant to sign a new deal with the Catalans, who are keen to tie him down to a new long-term contract.
"I'm in contact with Messi and I see him happy," Xavi explained on Spanish radio Cadena Cope on Thursday.
"I haven't spoken to him about his contract extension but he knows that Barcelona is the best club in the world for him and I don't see him in any other club.
"If I had to bet, I wouldn't [bet] on seeing Messi in another club."
The Argentine is currently contracted to Barca until 2018 and last signed a new deal at the club in May 2014.
