Alegria will sign ‘any’ Betis deal

Real Betis striker Alex Alegria has confirmed his eagerness to sign a new, long-term deal at the club ahead of his promising start to the season.

Alegria has started the last four league games for the club and netted a brace in the 2-2 draw with Granada – his first spell in the first team at Betis following his move from Cacereno in 2012.

"You can take my renewal at Betis for granted, I will sign it without thinking," said the 23-year-old striker.

"I am comfortable with the team, the fans, the club…with everything.

"Things are perhaps going a little faster than I thought, that's why it is important to keep your feet on the ground and keep working to ensure the best results for the team.

"Gus Poyet is constantly focusing on our tactics and how we can be more effective with and without the ball, and he's helped me improve my game."
