Celta Vigo are not a side who can win playing when not playing well, according to manager Eduardo Berizzo.
Berizzo has spoken of Celta's sluggish start to the campaign – which has seen them pick up only one point from their opening four games – ahead of his side hosting Sporting Gijon on Wednesday night.
"We are not a team who can win playing badly," said the Argentine, as he admitted that performances had not been good enough so far this season.
"I do not like being in this position in the table but to get out of it you need to start winning games and for us to win games, we must play well.
"These early matches have shown that our pre-season did not prepare us for the league, which came early for us. We did not have sufficient time to adjust.
"We must play at a much higher tempo and get the ball through our midfield to our forwards quicker."
