Sevilla to sell Iborra to Sunderland

Sevilla’s Vicente Iborra appears set to move to Premier League side Sunderland after an agreement was reached between the two clubs.

Sky Sports claim that the 28-year-old will leave the Europa League winners and head to Stadium of Light in an €8.2 deal.

Should the midfielder complete his transfer to the English club, it would be the latest in a string of high-profile departures for the Rojiblancos this summer, with the likes of Grzegorz Krychowiak, Kevin Gameiro, Fernando Llorente, Coke and Ever Banega all having left Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

AS say a potential replacement for Iborra could be Las Palmas midfielder Roque Mesa, though it is expected Sevilla would have to up their bid if they are to prise the player away from Gran Canaria.
