Pep Guardiola ended his Bayern Munich tenure with a third straight Bundesliga title, the club’s fourth in a row.
Guardiola will take over at Manchester City this summer and dedicated the success to his predecessor Jupp Heynckes, who won the treble of League, Cup and Champions League in 2012 before making way for the Catalan.
“I would like to share this fourth title with Heynckes. We’ve done something very special,” AS reports Guardiola saying after Bayern beat Ingolstadt to confirm the triumph.
“Congratulations to [runners-up] Borussia Dortmund. They were a great competitor.”
Guardiola’s last game in charge of the Bavarians will be against Dortmund, in the German Cup Final, on May 21.
