Suarez: Barca are human

Luis Suarez says Barcelona’s recent bad results show they’re human but the rout of Deportivo La Coruna confirms they’re ‘closer than ever.’

Barca ended a run of five games without a win by putting eight goals past Depor at Riazor, Suarez getting four of them and claiming three assists, though he put the focus on the collective.

“It was important to help the team in a difficult moment. We had to win playing as we play. You’re happier playing and winning. We had a lot of chances and scored the goals. The situation is good and positive and we’re working for it,” he said, AS reports.

“[Recent results are] a way for people to see that nothing is easy. You have to play the games. Some thought the League was doomed. We’re aware we depend on ourselves and we’ll work as we have to work. The points will come and we’ll have the fruit of our labour.

“We’re humans, not machines. We make mistakes, have a bad game. It’s a demonstration we are closer than ever and we depend on ourselves.”
