Lionel Messi didn’t train with his Barcelona teammates on Thursday, an ankle blow possibly the reason.
AS notes Messi took a kick to the area as Barca hammered Deportivo La Coruna on Wednesday and though he was at the club, appearing as Barca presented their plans for a redeveloped Camp Nou, it’s not thought he was involved in the session.
Messi played the full 90 minutes and scored at Riazor, with Sport suggesting his absence from training may have been only a precaution.
AS adds that it’s not believed Messi will miss Barca’s next game, at Camp Nou against strugglers Sporting Gijon.
