A report in Spain claims Lionel Messi is carrying an injury that Barcelona aren’t admitting, but the club reportedly deny that’s the case.
Mundo Deportivo cites Cadena Cope as reporting Messi is carrying a muscular problem and that is the cause of his recent subdued performances, the forward not having scored for his club since March 16.
Social media speculation on Wednesday said Messi was struggling with gastroenteritis, a claim rejected by Barca, but after the Catalans exited the Champions League, it’s being said he’s not fully fit.
It’s also noted that Messi recently visited his trusted physician Giuliano Poser in Italy, possibly to check on the recovery of a past problem.
However, Mundo Deportivo say Barca sources dismiss the claim that Messi is injured and point to the fact that he hasn’t missed any playing time, either for La Blaugrana or Argentina.
