Xavi: I want to be Barca Coach

Xavi Hernandez has told an interview his long-term objective is to return to Barcelona as Coach. ‘It’s my main goal.’

The midfielder, now on the books at Al Sadd, has told FourFourTwo magazine that he hopes to one day go back to Camp Nou after leaving in 2015.

“I want to coach Barca, I don’t hide that. It’s my main goal. I want to go back and work for the club,” AS reports Xavi saying.

“I consider the club my home. I want to do things right or not do them at all.

“[When I retire] I have no doubt, I want to stay linked to football, close to the pitch. I would hate to be locked up in an office.

“Whenever I have a quiet 10 minutes…I turn on the TV to watch football. My wife knows…she hates football.

“I study team selections and look on my phone to see who has scored. For now it is still a hobby, and that’s the secret. If I didn’t have to train every day I would play five-a-side with my colleagues.”
