West Ham manager Slaven Bilic has confirmed the Premier League club are nearing a deal for Valencia starlet Toni Martinez.
It was reported earlier in the week that the Hammers were in talks with the 18-year-old, who has been prolific in Los Che’s lower categories.
“We are quite close to capturing Toni Martinez,” London24 reports Bilic telling a Press conference.
“All other rumours in the paper are just speculation.”
Reports from the Daily Mirror say West Ham will pay £750,000 up front for Martinez, with Valencia holding a 20% sell-on clause and possibly receiving some £2m in add-ons and bonuses.
