Bellerin to replace Alves?

Barcelona are preparing for Dani Alves to take the money on offer from China and want Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin as his replacement.

Bellerin, originally on Barca’s books before he was spirited away by the Gunners, is said by Mundo Deportivo to be attracting attention from a host of Europe’s powerhouses.

Arsenal’s Premier League rivals Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are all named by the Catalan publication, with Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich in the running too.

The 21-year-old has this season been a regular under Arsene Wenger and Bayern could make the first move as Carlo Ancelotti looks to shape the squad he inherits from Pep Guardiola.

Right-back isn’t currently a priority position for Barca as they have Alves and Aleix Vidal but will become more of a concern should Alves accept the offer on the table from Guangzhou Evergrande.

Guangzhou, who took Jackson Martinez from Atletico Madrid in February, are said to have made Alves a ‘dizzying’ offer and Bellerin’s name is the one pencilled in as his successor.

Bellerin left La Masia as a teenager and he is understood to be loyal to Wenger but with the future of the long-serving manager in doubt, he could be tempted back to Barca.

His contract runs until 2019 but suitors are lining up to exploit any opening, Mundo Deportivo add.
