Antoine Griezmann believes the Atletico Madrid supporters will make life difficult for whoever the team face next in the Champions League.
The home crowd was vocal throughout Atletico’s penalty shootout win over PSV Eindhoven on Tuesday night, and Griezmann referenced the support when speaking to reporters post-match.
“Any opponent will be nice with our fans so it will be difficult for any team to come here,” he noted, AS reports.
“It was difficult. PSV had a great game. The goalkeeper made a very good save in this game and another one in the first game, it was hard to score past him.
“Taking the penalty? You feel pressure in front of the ‘keeper but you have to go to the death with the side you choose [to put the shot].”
