Fabio Capello claims while “some players shouldn’t be at Real Madrid”, Cristiano Ronaldo “should’ve done some soul searching” before his post-Atletico rant.
Ronaldo insisted Madrid “would be top” of La Liga “if my teammates were on my level” after last weekend’s derby defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu, and Capello agreed with the Portuguese’s sentiments to an extent as he reflected on two “crucial” misses from the No 7 during the match.
“Perhaps we need to agree with Cristiano and say that some players shouldn’t be at Real Madrid,” the former Blancos boss told Fox Sports.
“At the same time, Cristiano missed two crucial chances against Atletico Madrid, so before he spoke, maybe he should’ve done some soul searching.”
