Paco Jemez is confident Rayo Vallecano will have a successful second half to the season if they beat Deportivo La Coruna on Sunday.
Los Vallecanos climbed out of the relegation zone in La Liga with a 2-2 draw at Valencia, followed by a 3-0 victory over Celta Vigo, to make it back-to-back games without defeat, and the Coach is backing his side to continue their recent renaissance at Riazor.
“[Piti] arrives in a good physical condition and we felt it was a good idea to sign him,” he said at a Press conference.
“[Depor] are a good team, although they’re not on a winning run at the moment.
“They work well and confide in their Coach.
“Lucas Perez forms a significant part of Depor’s attack, so we must be careful with him.
“I’m dedicated to my job. This isn’t a club who demand a lot, and the circumstances are what they are, but I’m happy.
“We’re finding the balance between good performances and results, so for now, I won’t change anything.
“No matter where [Diego Llorente] plays, he’ll still do well. He’s been a revelation.
“The key is not to let Depor play and have a good game without the ball, as we’ve been doing.
“The players must be prepared to seize the opportunity, like Miku [Fedor] has done.
“I’m lucky that all my players are working at a very high level.
“If we beat Depor, our remainder of the season will be very good. I have a good feeling.”
