Antoine Griezmann has insisted that he is “happy” at Atletico Madrid and hopes Karim Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena represent France at Euro 2016.
Speaking to Telefoot on Monday, the attacker made it clear he would not entertain a move away from Los Colchoneros until he won trophies with the club and that his country’s chances of success in the summer would be boosted by the duo’s inclusion, despite the blackmail controversy.
“I’m happy at Atletico Madrid,” he told Telefoot.
“I’m ambitious and I want to win trophies here.
“This is a great club and my aim is to win trophies with Atletico.
“[On France’s chances at Euro 2016], I hope to see Benzema and Valbuena at the tournament.
“If they don’t make it then we have [Olivier] Giroud and [Kevin] Gameiro, who are also important.”
