The agent of Pep Guardiola has rubbished speculation linking the Coach with Paris Saint-Germain but admits the Premier League “is a great opportunity for him”.
Le Figaro reported on Sunday that PSG were pursuing Guardiola following his decision to quit Bayern Munich at the end of the season, but Josep Maria Orobitg made it clear his client was only considering England or a sabbatical.
“I’ve never spoken with the PSG President, either lately or in the past,” he told L’Equipe.
“I’ve had contact with their sporting director [Olivier Letang] but only to discuss one of my clients.
“We’ve never talked about Pep’s situation, neither have PSG asked me even the slightest question about [Pep].
“There’s the possibility that [Guardiola’s] been in direct contact [with a club], but it’d surprise me.
“[The Premier League] is a great opportunity for him, but Pep will make his decision in the next two or three months.
“Anything is possible, even a sabbatical.”
