Diego Simeone conceded Atletico Madrid could have “no complaints” about their 1-0 defeat to Malaga in La Liga on Sunday.
Los Colchoneros squandered the chance to move three points clear at the top of the table after Charles’ late goal ended their nine-match winning streak and condemned them to their first defeat since September.
“We have no complaints about the result,” the Coach said after the game.
“[On Gabi’s red card for two bookable offe], we won’t look for excuses because [Malaga] played an intense game.
“The referee saw it, [Gabi] was already on a yellow and we can’t have any complaints. Malaga played better.
“When your opponents play well and solutions can’t be found then you must congratulate them.
“They well, played well and we didn’t have a good match. We weren’t accurate in our final pass.
“[On losing ground in the title race], it does absolutely nothing for me.”
