Enrique: Barca better than 14-15

Luis Enrique believes Barcelona are playing the best football of his reign after Saturday’s 4-0 win against Real Sociedad.

A brace from Neymar, complemented by goals from Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi, fired the Catalans to their sixth straight win to provisionally open up a seven-point lead atop Liga, yet the Coach is convinced his side can get even better.

“Once the match is resolved, [the ‘MSN’] all try to score. If the” he said after the game.

“It comes naturally to them. They’re always heavily involved and if they don’t score then they’re not happy.

“I have the feeling that we’re in our best shape of the season. I think we’re playing better last season.

“We’re at a high level, but let’s hope the best is yet to come. We’re in a good spell and the team are having fun, no doubt.

“Still, nobody has ever won the League in December. It’s an important month, with exciting matches in the League and the Club World Cup.

“[On being La Liga leaders], there’s still a lot of the season left and it’s not a topic. You have to go game by game.

“[Jeremy Mathieu] is a very important player for us because he can play two positions at a high level.

“[Sergio Busquets] is in his best form. Overall, I’m happy with everyone.

“I try to balance out the minutes. There isn’t much room, but I must seize [the opportunities of giving out minutes when they come].

“[Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal] are experiencing difficult situations, but their time is approaching and that makes them happy.

“They know our system and will prove to be two very important reinforcements.

“[On whether Barca are scary], that question is for our opponents.”
