Diego Simeone believes Atletico Madrid can achieve anything this season after Sunday’s 1-0 win at Real Betis in La Liga.
Koke’s lone finish in just the seventh minute at Benito Villamarin earned Los Colchoneros their fourth victory in five League matches and lifted them above arch-rivals Real Madrid into second place.
“The most important thing is to continue growing,” the Coach said after the game.
“We’ll see if we can maintain the level we showed [on Sunday], which was very good.
“We want to surpass the numbers we recorded last season and see how far we go, but the idea is to always go game by game.
“We were pleased with [Antoine Griezmann’s] efforts and adaptation [on the right wing]. He does well wherever we play him.
“It’s too early to take stock [of our season]. We want to keep growing, but I must praise the enthusiasm of the lads as they keep winning.”
