AS notes that Valencia’s Alcacer and Chelsea’s Costa lined up together in a group that also included regulars such as Andres Iniesta and Gerard Pique.
Villarreal’s Mario joined Barcelona trio Pique, Marc Bartra and Jordi Alba in defence while the midfield was made up of Camp Nou colleagues Iniesta and Sergio Busquets and ex-Barca pair Thiago Alcantara and Cesc Fabregas.
The 10 outfield players worked opposite a team that included new call-up Oscar De Marcos, Mikel San Jose, Nacho and Cesar Azpilicueta.
