Celta Vigo forward Nolito has refused to rule out a return to Barcelona on the basis that “you can never say never”.
The 29-year-old continues to be heavily linked with La Blaugrana as a belated replacement for Pedro Rodriguez, and he admits a move could be on the cards after making no secret of his admiration for Luis Enrique.
“I feel good and relaxed,” he told Sportium.
“My feet are on the ground. I try to stay away from all the news out there about my future.
“What has to happen will happen. You can never say never, but at the moment I’m delighted with how things are going in Vigo and Celta must be respected
“Things are going very well for me, but we’ll see what happens.
“The praise can weaken you, however, and things change quickly in football.
“I’ll go my way. I don’t want to deviate. I’ve improved a lot physically and matured from playing in La Liga for several years.
“It’s always good when people speak well of you, but I’d rather not.
“Luis Enrique’s one of my sporting parents. At Barca B, he made me realise that I could make a living in this business.
“He insisted that I lose weight and he’d look after me to realise all my potential.
“His advice was very important for me to move forward in my career. I wish him well.”
