Luis Enrique is confident that Barcelona will soon be firing on all cylinders following Saturday’s 5-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano.
Despite Neymar’s four goals and assist for Luis Suarez, the Catalans again failed to make more of their chances count – akin to their performance against Sevilla – but the Coach believes their profligacy will pass.
“Luckily there aren’t many Rayos in the League, with their approach,” he said after the game.
“Possession is a means, not an end product. I didn’t mind giving up possession against Rayo, neither did I against Celta [Vigo] and Bayern [Munich] because I always seek the result.
“I’ve never had a comfortable match against Paco Jemez’s Rayo. We created chances to get ahead but didn’t take them.
“We had a good first half and a bad second half, even if we were only clinical in the second.
“I’m not worried that we’re not taking all our chances as it’s only a matter of time before we do.
“It’s been a strange season for us, having missed so many clear chances with such quality players.
“[My team] play with so much clarity that I don’t need to work on them.”
