Man Utd still chasing Ronaldo?

Reports from the British Press say Manchester United haven’t given up on tempting Cristiano Ronaldo back to the club from Real Madrid.

Ronaldo left Old Trafford for Santiago Bernabeu in 2009 but was linked with a return last summer, and the Daily Mirror believe United are still in the hunt.

They face competition from Paris Saint-Germain, however, and Madrid would demand a fee of €124m [£90m] to convince them to sell.

It’s suggested that €96m [£70m] might be enough to tempt Madrid into parting with the forward, however, because Ronaldo turns 31 in February.

United would match Ronaldo’s wage demands as they feel the commercial boost they’d receive from the signing would be worth the outlay. But if Ronaldo does depart Spain, he’s thought to favour PSG.
