Nagatomo on Sevilla agenda?

Sevilla are reportedly monitoring Inter defender Yuto Nagatomo and considering an approach in the January window.

Estadio Deportivo reports that a move is only likely if there’s an injury or unexpected departure for left-backs Sergio Escudero or Benoit Tremoulinas.

But there is appeal in an attack-minded full-back capable of playing on either side, and Tremoulinas has been linked with the likes of Roma, Lazio and Paris Saint-Germain.

Monchi is said to have watched Nagatomo closely and with the Japan international facing competition from Alex Telles, he could look to leave San Siro.

Levante were keen on Nagatomo in the summer window but the 28-year-old chose to stay with his current club.

Part of the attraction to Sevilla is understood to be that, as Nagatomo’s contract expires next summer, he could be available on the cheap in the winter.
