Ronaldo: I fear dying young

Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed that “my biggest fear is dying young” but insists it does not affect his desire “to always be the best”.

Speaking intimately with Libero on Friday, the 30-year-old was not afraid to divulge details of his personal life, such as his daily experiences with family and friends, favourite past-time and what inspires him to maintain his high standards.

“My goal every year is to always be the best and train hard to make the most of my abilities,” he explained.

“I've always tried to do this, and I think the past eight, nine or 10 years have gone pretty well so I'm trying to continue with it.

“I try to do normal things with my family, friends and son. I try to be as normal as possible. [My favourite hobby is] playing with my son.

“My biggest fear is dying young. I want to die old, once I've lived 80 or 90 years.

“[My greatest inspiration] are the people around me, those who have always encouraged me.

“They give me good vibes and positive energy, and that's the most important thing for me.

“I'm trying to enjoy the moment. I like playing football and I want the fans to enjoy [what I do] too.”
