‘Atletico will have to adapt’

Clemente Villaverde is concerned at the long journey Atletico Madrid face when travelling to Astana after the Champions League draw.

Atletico were paired with the Kazak qualifiers, as well as Benfica and Galatasaray at the event in Moncao.

“Astana is a very long journey with a four-hour time difference. It’s a team in the pot and we have to play them,” the general manager said, AS reports.

“We will have to adapt and address what’s required.

“It’s a very competitive group. We know Benfica and Galatasaray. They’re very strong at home, so the group is open and will be a lot of work.”
