Julen Lopetegui has expressed his delight with Iker Casillas’ assimilation at Porto since his move from Real Madrid earlier in the summer.
The goalkeeper arrived amid much controversy due to the reported breakdown of his relationship with Los Blancos, whom he represented for 25 years, but has made a promising start to life in Portugal, according to his new Coach.
“He’s happy and so are we with him,” he said after Porto’s 3-0 victory over Vitoria Guimaraes on Saturday.
“He’s gradually getting to know what Porto, these fans, this stadium and our expectations are all about.
“We’re happy for him and his adaptation to the team.”
