Real Betis President Juan Carlos Ollero has faith Dani Ceballos will remain at Benito Vilamarin in the face of reported Real Madrid interest.
It was on Thursday claimed Los Blancos had identified Ceballos as part of their drive to snap up young talent from across Europe.
Ceballos and Madrid were said to have agreed terms while Ceballos’ contractual status at Betis remains up in the air.
“I’m convinced he will renew with Betis,” Marca quotes Ollero saying.
“Talks about a renewal got underway months ago and we expect to finish them shortly.
“I don’t know where the rumours are coming from. You’d have to ask whoever started them.
“If Madrid want Ceballos I suppose they’ll have the courtesy to call us. But I’m sure he’ll stay at Betis.”
