Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Cordoba defender Jose Angel Crespo on a three-year contract.
The 28-year-old moves to the Premier League for an undisclosed fee after a season with the relegated Blanquiverdes.
Crespo spent last year on loan at Cordoba from Bologna and signed a permanent deal with the club in April, only to depart following the club’s drop from the Primera.
Beginning his career at Sevilla, Crespo also represented Racing Santander before venturing to Italy, spending time on the books at Padova and Verona before returning to Spain.
