Sevilla target Juve’s Isla?

Sevilla have set their sights on Mauricio Isla following the Juventus right-back’s triumphant Copa America 2015 campaign with Chile.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the Andalucians are preparing to launch an €8m bid for the 27-year-old, despite it being some €2m short of the Bianconeri’s asking price.

Beginning his career as a striker for Universidad Catolica in 1999, Isla’s performances at the South American Under-20 Championship earned him a move to Udinese in 2007.

Five years later, he was snapped up by Juve for a reported €15m but failed to displace Stephan Lichtsteiner and spent last season on loan at Queens Park Rangers.

Isla has also been linked with Sevilla’s La Liga rivals Villarreal.
