David Silva has claimed that Iker Casillas is still the best goalkeeper in the world following Spain’s 1-0 win against Belarus on Sunday.
The Real Madrid veteran replaced David de Gea for the Euro 2016 qualifier at Borisov Arena and ensured his net remained unbreached as the midfielder scored the only goal of the game to keep La Roja second in Group C.
“Iker’s a great goalkeeper and for us the best. There’s nothing more to say,” he said after the match.
“The Coach has done many great things with us and I’m sure that we’ll achieve a lot more [with him at the helm].”
