Keylor Navas admits his Real Madrid future appears to be out of his hands as the club gets closer to signing David De Gea from Manchester United.
Navas is set to line up against either Casillas or De Gea when his Costa Rica side meet Spain in a Thursday night friendly, and has confirmed he wants to stay at Santiago Bernabeu.
“I’ve spoken to the club. Only God knows if I’ll stay,” he said, AS reports.
“I hope I can stay to fight for my dream of being first choice. I’m not content with what has happened so far at Madrid. Last season wasn’t how I wanted, but it has made me stronger.”
