Dani Alves has dropped his biggest hint yet that he will leave Barcelona this summer, tearfully admitting “I don’t know if this dream has come to an end”.
The right-back, whose contract expires on June 30, could not hold back the tears during La Blaugrana’s end-of-season party on Sunday as he conceded his future at Camp Nou was all but over.
“I thank all my teammates, the staff and all of you [the fans] for making me happy at this club,” he began.
“I don’t know how much longer this dream will go on for. I don’t know if [this dream] has come to an end, but I hope it stays eternal.
“I’ve always been happy here and I’ll still be happy when I leave because I’m one of you.”
