Lewandowski unfazed by injury

Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski says playing in a mask at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night will hold no fears for him.

The Bundesliga giants take on Barcelona in a Champions League semi-final first leg clash, with the Poland international a doubt for the game having suffered a broken nose and jaw in the German Cup semi-final with Borussia Dortmund last weekend.

In declarations posted on Bayern’s official website, the 26-year-old said he was unsure if he might be forced to wear an orthopaedic face mask against Barca, but insists it would not be a problem.

“I’m not scared in the slightest,” assured the player, who previously wore the mask in a training session.

Lewandowski is the latest addition to Bayern’s injury list with Franck Ribery, David Alaba, Arjen Robben and Holger Badstuber all sidelined for the clash.
