Luis Enrique described Barcelona’s 3-0 win against Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday as the ‘perfect result’.
La Blaugrana stuck one foot in the final thanks to goals from Lionel Messi and Neymar at Camp Nou, the former grabbing a brace, and the Coach challenged his players to finish the job in Germany next week.
“It’s a perfect result and puts us a step closer to the final, but we must confirm [our place] in the return leg. I’m sure it’ll be a very difficult match,” he said after the game.
“[Nonetheless], I’m very satisfied about the game and the result. We had many chances and they had very few.
“[On Pep Guardiola stating Bayern had to stop Sergio Busquets], there’s more to Barca than just Busquets.
“Pep played a game that was loyal to his philosophy. Both teams were very good, but the individual talent proved decisive.
“What can you say [about Lionel Messi]? He always surprises you.
“He plays every game with the same hunger and ambition, but I prefer the work of the entire team and we kept a clean sheet. The fans enjoyed [what they saw] and were outstanding.
“[On the RFEF strike], I need all the information about it to give you my opinion.”
