Getafe have been rocked by the news that midfielder Karim Yoda is set to miss the rest of the season through injury.
The Frenchman suffered a tear to the patellar ligament in his right knee during the game with Atletico Madrid on Saturday, just nine minutes after coming on as a substitute in the 2-0 defeat, and underwent surgery in Madrid on Sunday.
According to AS, the operation on the 26-year-old at Los Madronos Hospital was carried out successfully and he now joins Angel Lafita on Getafe’s list of long-term casualties.
Yoda joined Getafe in July 2014 on a free transfer from Romanian outfit Astra Giurgiu following previous spells in Switzerland with Servette and Sion.
