Javier Mascherano admits Barcelona need Sergio Busquets back for Sunday’s Clasico, “even if it means that I have to watch the match from the bench.”
The midfielder has been missing since March 4, when he sustained an ankle injury against Villarreal in the Copa del Rey semi-finals, but was recently called up to the Spain squad, fuelling suggestions he may return against Real Madrid.
“Hopefully Busi [Busquets] is back in time [for the Clasico], even if it means that I have to watch the match from the bench,” the Argentine was quoted as saying by Marca.
“The best thing for the team is that he plays, and if he can recover in time, he’ll be [a] welcome [addition].”
