Josep Maria Bartomeu has confirmed that Lionel Messi and Luis Enrique will remain at Barcelona next season.
The Coach, who was only appointed last summer, clashed with the No 10 in training after the Christmas holidays, leading to speculation that the one of the pair would leave the Catalans at the end of the season.
However, Enrique and Messi have since mended their relationship, and the President commended both men for acting in Barca’s best interests.
“The important thing was to know how to manage [the situation after the defeat by Real Sociedad in January], and the solution has been found,” Bartomeu told RNE.
“Leo is happy at Barcelona and we’re happy with him. He’s a Cule and a Catalan.
“[Lucho] is under contract for another year and will coach the club next season.”
