Real Madrid will have Marcelo available for the Champions League game against Schalke after an injury scare against Deportivo La Coruna.

The left-back had to leave the 2-0 win early after he was caught in a challenge by Laure, limping off with a few minutes to play.

But Carlo Ancelotti confirmed after the match that Marcelo would be fine, while the player himself wrote on Twitter that he went off as a precaution more than anything else.

“It’s just a knock, but he has touched a nerve and it left the area dead,” Ancelotti said, AS reports.

“He’s fine now and he’ll play against Schalke.”

“It was just a scare! Thanks for the concern. Hala Madrid!” Marcelo added on the social network site.
