Cristiano Ronaldo insists Real Madrid are 'much better' than Atletico Madrid and remains convinced his side will still win La Liga this season.
Los Blancos were humbled 4-0 by their city rivals at the Vicente Calderon on Saturday, with the Portuguese forward making his comeback after completing his two-match ban for kicking out at Cordoba left-back Edimar a fortnight ago.
"Real Madrid are much better than Atletico, but we have to prove it on the pitch. [I'm sure] we're going to win the league again," he said after the match.
"We won almost every game [in 2014], but being in a perfect scenario isn't possible. The most important thing is to win.
"In my opinion, the team are okay, if anything we're missing something in our attitude.
"The team aren't feeling well physically or mentally. I see the team a little tired. We can't make these mistakes again in the future.
"They're still three points behind us and are following the leaders. We're a little tired, some have played a lot and some haven't had much recovery time. I don't see the team in the same way I usually do."
