Ancelotti: Barca? No comment…

Carlo Ancelotti has declined to weigh in too heavily to the situation at Barcelona, but the Real Madrid Coach did offer support to Luis Enrique.

Ancelotti was speaking ahead of Madrid’s Copa del Rey tie with Atletico Madrid but was asked at his Press conference about the goings-on at Camp Nou.

Barca on Monday sacked sporting director Luis Enrique, saw Zubi’s assistant and club icon Carles Puyol resign, were enveloped by rumours of a row between Enrique and Messi and had to deal with Messi missing an open training session through illness.

“I don’t know the Barca locker room so I can’t comment,” AS reports the Italian as saying when the subject was raised, with particular reference to Enrique leaving out Messi against Real Sociedad.

“Everyone has to make their decisions with the locker room. Enrique is the person best-placed to make decisions. It was a fair decision.

“I haven’t been at clubs with stability problems. Clubs have them and I have to be prepared. What is happening at Barca happens at all clubs at some point.

“I’m not happy about it. I look at my team, not what happens at Barca. All I’d say is there are teams that have problems through the season.”
