Arsenal tracking Sevilla star

Arsenal are keeping an eye on Grzegorz Krychowiak’s situation at Sevilla after he dropped a hint he is prepared to leave the club.

The 24-year-old joined the Andalusian outfit for a reported €4.5m from Reims in the summer but admits he is looking to further his career by joining one of Europe’s bigger clubs.

The Daily Express claims Gunners’ boss Arsene Wenger has been keeping tabs on the Poland international for some time and has identified him as the ideal candidate to take over the holding midfield role in his team.

Krychowiak recently stated his desire to play in the Champions League and the Londoners are hoping to be in pole position to land him in the January transfer window.

However, they could face competition from Inter Milan, who have also checked him out recently, and it is understood that Sevilla have been made aware of both clubs’ interest.
