Madrid change causes chaos

FIFA’s decision to change the venue of the Real Madrid-Cruz Azul game in the Club World Cup in Morocco has brought chaos to the police operation.

The tie has been switched from Rabat to Marrakech due to heavy storms in the capital, making the pitch at the venue unplayable, and in addition to the logistical problems changes will now need to be made on a security level.

According to AS, it is understood that Carlo Ancelotti’s men have no plans to change their initial intention to fly to Rabat, where they will train on Monday with the Italian scheduled to hold a Press conference afterwards.

The session will take place at the Moulay Hassan Sports Complex, after which Los Blancos will catch a plane to Marrakech before Tuesday’s game against the Mexican outfit.

If they win Madrid will stay there until Saturday, when they will face the winners of the other semi-final: Auckland or San Lorenzo.
