Barcelona defender Marc Bartra feels Lionel Messi is comfortable at the Camp Nou and could not imagine it without him being there.
The 23-year-old centre-back also believes the Argentine star will continue at the club despite his recent comments hinting he could one day end up moving elsewhere.
“I couldn’t imagine a Barca without Messi. The most important thing is that he has always said he wants to remain here all his career,” maintained Bartra at a promotional act for the Jack and Jones clothing company.
“Leo has given everything for the club since he was very small and thanks to him they have been at the very top.
“He has been in the first team for many years and is comfortable. It’s good that the best player in the world feels appreciated.”
Bartra also highlighted Real Madrid’s impressive form in La Liga, but warned there is still a long way to go before the League enters its decisive phase.
“Every year they reinforce very well and at the moment they are going through a good time, but La Liga is very long,” he advised.
