Marc Bartra has revealed he feels more and more confident about his place in the Spain squad after being called for games against Belarus and Germany.
Bartra has been interviewed by Mundo Deportivo and the talk touched on his place in the national team and also at club level, where there is competition for the centre-back spot.
Asked if he was more secure with La Roja having been named in the initial squad and not added as a late replacement, Bartra admitted he was.
“It’s added confidence. Every time I come here I feel better,” he confirmed.
“There are a lot of central defenders for Spain. Perhaps it’s true it’s not easy to find ones with the profile for the national team. We try though, and the level is good.”
