Christoph Kramer’s agent says a switch to Real Madrid is currently not an option for the Bayer Leverkusen midfielder.

Rene von Bruch told Bild that the 23-year-old, who is on a season-long loan with Borussia Monchengladbach, has been linked with a move to the Santiago Bernabeu as Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is understood to see him as the perfect complement to Toni Kroos.

However, Von Bruch maintains that right now any transfer talk is not an issue.

“Christoph is fully focused on Gladbach and has a contract with Bayer Leverkusen, so Real Madrid is not something that is up for discussion,” he declared.

It is believed that Gladbach would like to keep Kramer on a permanent basis, although their finances dictate that it could be difficult as the player’s salary is a reported €800,000-a-year, much lower than he could earn back at Leverkusen or in Madrid.

Kramer was a member of the German team that won the World Cup in Brazil this summer, although his contribution to the final win over Argentina was short-lived as he needed to be substituted in the first half with concussion following a clash with Ezequiel Garay.
