Barcelona’s Luis Suarez has declined to get involved in the row regarding his exclusion from the 23-man Ballon d’Or shortlist.
Suarez wasn’t named as a possible winner of the Player of the Year award despite finishing last season as the Premier League’s leading scorer and the joint-highest scorer in Europe.
It has been suggested that Suarez was left off because of the biting incident at the World Cup but the player himself is wary of speaking his mind.
“It was brought to my attention I’m not on the list but I prefer to remain silent and not get in trouble,” he said, Marca reports.
